The Villa Academy Visual Art program provides a diverse and rigorous visual arts curriculum. Art history and a study of aesthetics and critique are explored throughout the grade levels. Students experience a variety of art mediums and techniques such as painting, drawing, printmaking, and ceramics.  Collaboration with classroom teachers also allows students to build connections to other content areas such as social studies, music, math, and language arts.

Throughout history, the … arts have served to connect our imagination with the deepest questions of human existence: Who am I? What must I do? Where am I going? Studying responses to those question through time, and across cultures- as well as acquiring the tools and knowledge to create one’s own responses– is essential not only to understanding life but to living it fully.
